The City of Largo just received it's first all-electric vehicle and would love to hear stories and see pictures of you with yours. Tell us what it is like for you to drive an electric vehicle, or why you would want one in the future. You can also share pictures of you and your EV with the hashtag #ElectricLargo, or upload them here.

Largo is proud to introduce this vehicle into it's fleet and plans to continue this and other sustainability efforts to keep our future Largo sustainable for generations. Visit OurFutureLargo.com for more information on this and other sustainability initiatives in Largo.

Many times when City staff meets up with a business the statement is made "We had no idea this was going on." So how is the best way to connect to business owners in Largo? Through electronic newsletters? or Facebook? or is there some other medium that we are not aware of that we should be tapping into to communicate better with our businesses.

From bridges that span our waterways to neighborhood parks – for nearly 30 years, the Penny for Pinellas has supported investments in areas that matter most to our Citizens: faster travel with 68 new lane miles, 16 major roads with added lanes, and rebuilt bridges; safer communities with more than 20 fire and emergency facilities built or renovated, and more than 150 projects to enhance our stormwater systems and flood control; and protection of natural resources with hundreds of acres of land preserved, upgrades to 21 parks and more than 50 new miles of multiuse trails.

In an effort to support the Community Pride focus area of the City of Largo's Strategic Plan, Largo is currently working on creating a Neighborhood Outreach Map. This map will help to facilitate services and increase communication efforts throughout our community. If you are a member of a civic group, neighborhood organization or any other community group, please complete this short registration with the City of Largo. By registering your group or organization you will be creating a direct communication link to Largo's Community Outreach team, gain access to community presentations and other resources offered by the City of Largo.

Largo would like to encourage residents who are interested in having a cleanup event in 2017 to nominate their neighborhoods by entering their information in the box above. Be sure to share this page to get your neighbors to vote on your neighborhood!

The City of Largo is in the early stage of preparing for the design of the Rosery Road improvements from the Pinellas Trail to Missouri Avenue. The goals are to provide safe and efficient routes from neighborhoods to local destinations (such as the transit stops and shopping areas at Clearwater-Largo Road and at Missouri Avenue) and accommodating growth by improving mobility for all users, especially pedestrians and bicyclists.
The City's engineering design consultant is currently collecting detailed drainage and other existing infrastructure design information. Design will begin in June 2018 and continue through May 2019. The City will be hosting two public meetings during the design phase and will begin hosting an informational web page before the first public meeting. Construction will begin in the fourth quarter of 2019. Duration of construction is dependent on final design. While that duration cannot be known at present, the construction duration is likely to be in line with similar City projects (approximately 15 months).
This is the first of a series of opportunities for the City to listen to you, incorporate your feedback into the project design, and ensure that the needs of residents and businesses are addressed. The information we are requesting in the online questionnaire below will assist us in identifying any issues you have regarding pavement condition, drainage flooding, traffic issues, pedestrian safety, and other concerns. Please share your feedback in this survey by August 6.
Should you have any questions please contact Barry D. Westmark, PE with the Engineering Services Department at (727) 587-6713 ext. 4433 or at bwestmar@largo.com
